They had found it, looking out over the ruins of a once-great city a vision appeared, showing a dark figure coming and bringing ruin to all within, an ominous sign, but probably a clue that they were on the right path! Just yesterday their guide had told them that the lost city was no more than a day or two further down-river, that afternoon he was eaten by a giant crocodile!įeeling the river begin to quicken, and hearing a roaring up ahead the party quickly pulled over to the side and discovered the river cascading down a waterfall and into. Returning to the ‘mainland’ the party encountered Dyrax the Red-Wizard they had spoken to earlier, he seemed much more amenable this time around, now that the rest of his group had been slaughtered! He proposed an alliance to save everyone’s souls…ĭeep in the wilds of Chult the brave adventurers were manning a cannon along a jungle river. hey, that was easy, another cube recovered! With some rope and bravery they were able to make their way over to the next shrine, this one dedicated to Moa, being extremely cautious they identified various traps and possibly false puzzle cubes, identifying the correct one they cautiously made their way out. The team moved on to a less combative shrine (hopefully) and decided to have a go at accessing the shrine perched upon a pillar above the magma-lake. These proved to be extremely challenging opponents and after several attempts the group were unable to defeat even one of them and were forced to retreat and come up with another strategy. This shrine appears to be set-up to allow for ‘honourable’ gladiatorial combat with a group of 4 statue-golem type guardians shaped like Omuan warriors.
The party then headed over to the next shrine identified by Orvex, this was dedicated to Shagambi, while reading the inscription they were ambushed by a pair of Kamadans, after defeating one they were able to drive the other off.
Everyone waited to see what awful trap would be sprung.
And quickly misty-stepped back to the entrance.
